The President of the United States is reportedly considering leaving the Oval Office if he doesn’t win the White House.
President Donald Trump is expected to announce his presidential run at the end of the month, but he said Monday that he’s not running for re-election in 2020.
“I’m not going to go back in there and do the same thing I did in the Whitehouse.
It’s not a good thing,” Trump said on CNN’s “State of the Union.””
It’s not working out that way.
I think the country needs a change.
I’m not running.
I would love to go home to my family and spend time with my family, but I don’t think that’s what we need to do.”
Trump’s decision comes as Republicans, Democrats, and independents are converging to nominate a presidential candidate, with a number of Democrats also weighing in.
Trump’s announcement comes amid a national debate over whether the 2020 election will be a coronavirus-driven one.
Trump is in the midst of trying to find a nominee to lead the Republican Party, which he won in November.
His choice for Vice President will be announced Monday.
On Tuesday, House Speaker Paul Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said they would vote to confirm a replacement for the President.
They’re expected to vote on a nominee on Tuesday, according to The Associated Press.
