It’s a common practice in sport, and the Jamaican men’s basketball team is known for its rigorous conditioning regime.
The men’s team is a key member of the US National Team’s Olympic training camp in Orlando.
The camp begins this week, and it will run through December 10.
The Jamaican team has been practicing with the National Team in the same facility since last summer.
“The training is very rigorous,” coach Paul Steeves said.
“We’ve been doing it for almost two months.
We’ve got guys in every single position from shooting guard to small forward.
It’s really a hard training camp.”
The Jamaican players are not expected to be involved in the men’s National Team pool.
They’ll instead be focused on preparing for the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
